Letter to the Editor:
I hope everyone who wants to vote is registered and has a correct I.D. This is an important election.
There is a lot going on right now. I am concerned about gas prices and how expensive food is. What about the war in Iran and all this talk about AI? Don’t get me started about rent and housing costs that have skyrocketed out of reach for a lot of us. We were promised lower food prices, lower housing and utility expenses and no new wars. None of this has happened.
I am more than disappointed. I am worried and a little afraid of what else could be coming. I am ready for a change and I am going to vote for a change. Voting for the same will only keep things as they are and things will probably only get worse.
We still have the power of the free press. By voting we can send a message to all the politicians who should be working for all of us. I read the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. In addition to our freedom of speech, we have four other freedoms. We have freedom of religion, the press, peaceful assembly and the right to petition the government.
I am using my freedom of speech by writing this. If it is printed, the newspaper is using their freedom of the press. We don’t want to lose our freedoms. Get out and vote.
