Nancy Sue (Pettibon) Kirk, 77, of Tunas, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at her home.
She was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Deerfield, Mo. to Warren Eugene and Jessie Isabelle (Wealot) Pettibon.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Leonard Pettibon.
She loved her family and enjoyed the gatherings they would have. She also loved flowers. She enjoyed looking at them and choosing which ones to pick. Her favorite type of flower was a rose called “Joseph’s Coat.’’ She also enjoyed birdwatching (especially hummingbirds) and fishing. She was a baker at a local grocery store before she started working at her antique shop. She would eventually retire from General Motors.
Survivors include her husband Haskell Kirk of the home; a daughter, Helena Martin of Flemington; four sons, William Pettibon of Urbana; Jesse Pettibon of Paola, Kan.; James Kirk of Tunas, and Brian Kirk of Tunas.
A memorial service for Nancy Sue (Pettibon) Kirk will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
