SUSA MAE DAVIS

Susa Mae Davis, 88, of Lebanon, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Lebanon.

She was born May 9, 1934, near Competition, Mo. to Noah and Ila Lewis Amos.

On July 13, 1952, she was united in marriage to William Sherman Davis, and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, LaDonna Edwards; three brothers, Robert, Murl, and Melvin; and four sisters, Cleo, Lillian, Isabelle, and Irene.

Susa was raised in the Competition community and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1952. After she and Sherman were married, they made their home in Southern California for 40 years. Through the years, Susa was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also taught pre-school in their church in Southern California. After retiring, the family moved back to Lebanon and made their home. Her family heritage was very important to her and she was proud of her farm heritage.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her husband Sherman Davis; her daughter, Patti Junkel and her husband John of Grovespring; two sons, Bradley Davis and his wife Cathy; James Davis and his wife Leslie, all of Lebanon; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Susa Mae Davis will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, July 16, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. A memorial has been established for the Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
