Amelia Rose Clawson, of Conway, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, leaving behind a family and a circle of friends whose lives are forever brighter because she was in them.

Amelia was born May 31, 2011, in Morgantown, West Virginia, to Vincent Edward Clawson and Diane Elizabeth (Angst) Clawson.

A proud Army brat, she grew up on the move, and everywhere her family landed, Amelia made friends. New places never stopped her from opening her heart to the people around her. She was homeschooled and filled her days with activities she loved, including singing in choir. Amelia had a giving heart that seemed to have no limit. She noticed when someone was hurting, and she cared deeply for everyone around her. Art was one of her great passions, a way to share the beauty she saw in the world. She was fascinated by space and could lose herself in the wonder of the stars and planets. She loved the colors purple and green. She came alive outdoors in nature, and she treasured every moment spent with her friends and her family. She hadn’t yet decided what she wanted to be when she grew up, but she knew one thing for certain: she wanted a cool car. More than anything, Amelia was herself. She never pretended to be someone she wasn’t, and she never felt she had to. At an age when so many young people struggle to fit in, she simply shone as exactly who she was, and in doing so, she gave others the courage to do the same.

Amelia is survived by her parents, Vincent and Diane Clawson; her sister, Kaylyn Dawn Clawson; her brother, Mason Elias Clawson; her grandparents, Frank and Lou Ann Clawson of Conway, Missouri, and Leslie Angst of Phillipsburg, Missouri; her uncles, Charlton Clawson and his partner, Nicole, of Killeen, Texas, and Mark Angst of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a large extended family on both sides who cherished her; and many friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Janice Angst, and her uncle, Arthur Clawson
