City conducts smoke testing for sewer system

Posted
The City of Lebanon is continuing to conduct smoke testing of the sanitary sewer system throughout August. The tests are focusing on the southern half of the city, specifically in parts of Wards 2 and 3. This testing will help identify potential leaks, defects, or areas where unwanted water may be entering the sewer system, the city said in a press release. “Residents in the affected areas should be aware that they may notice smoke coming from plumbing vents, the ground, or manholes. The smoke used for testing is non-toxic, non-staining, and completely safe. For more on this story, see Saturday's LCR.
