Dorothy “Carolyn’’ West, 81, of Lebanon, was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Bastrop, La. to Johnny Riels and Dorothy Fancher Riels and died Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
She is survived by her children, Sonja Frost and husband Sam of Oak Grove, La., Michael West and his wife Ashley of Bruner, Kara Gean and her husband Derek of Lebanon, and Brandy LeBurn Windsor of Lebanon; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Groves of Lebanon; two sisters-in-law, Joni Riels and Elsie West.
A committal service will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David William West; her parents, Johnny Riels and Dorothy Fancher Riels; her sister, Mary Riels; and her brother, John Wesley Riels.
