Evelyn Sue Engsberg, formerly of Lebanon, was born in 1940 in the rural community of Competition, Missouri to Grant and Bernice Tunnell. She departed this life in the early morning hours of August 6, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Bernice Tunnell; her beloved husband of 51 years, David A. Engsberg; and her sisters, Virginia Mae Lowrance and Greta Darlene Ross.

Sue is survived by her younger sister, Carolyn Fontenot; her three children: Hope Engsberg-Rauzi of Denver, Colorado; Mark Engsberg (Rebecca) of Atlanta, Georgia; and Melaine Good (Bill) of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher Rauzi (Suzanne), Caleb Engsberg, Elizabeth Engsberg, Catherine Good, and one great-grandson; Silas Meadows; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Mt. Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon, Missouri, with Reverend Marsha Vincent speaking. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the White River Conference Center at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, Missouri.

A memorial has been established in our mother’s memory to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
