The Lebanon boys varsity swim team competed at the Southwest Missouri Championships meet Friday and Saturday, which Head Coach David Krev explained was the season’s district competition.

The goal for the athletes, he continued, was to achieve times that rank in the top 32 in Missouri.

The coach said Lucas Keen swam a personal best in the 50-yard freestyle and barely missed the final race by 17 hundredths of a second in the preliminary race.

Krev also provided a list with the following finals results. Jackson and AJ Fisher, Eli Havens, and Keen competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard freestyle relay, and he said that they would compete at the Last Chance Meet Tuesday to improve their relay times.

Finals results:

Lebanon ranked ninth out of 18 teams with 131 points, tying with Camdenton. Rogersville took eighth place (142 points) and Hillcrest 11th (107 points).

In the 200-yard freestyle, Havens took seventh place (1:54.80 minutes) and Jackson Fisher eighth (1:56.93 minutes), placing in the consolation final bracket.

Havens took fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (54.98 seconds), placing in the championship final bracket.

Fisher took 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (51.64 seconds), placing him in the consolation final bracket.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Lebanon took seventh (1:40.16 minutes), placing them in the consolation final bracket.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Lebanon took sixth (3:42.03 minutes), placing them in the championship final bracket.

Krev said the final state rankings would come out Sunday.
