Gary Dean Smith Sr., 79, of Buffalo, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at his home.
He is survived by his children, Gary “Dean’’ Smith Jr., David Smith and his wife Jill, Dawn Nye and her husband Dan, Stephan “Doug’’ Smith and his wife Norma, Angela Smith, Brian Smith and his wife Tina, Jennifer Smith and husband Nick; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Tommy and two sisters, Lynn and Karla.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo with Pastor Vernon Leighty officiating. A come and go visitation will be from 1-2 p.m.
A memorial has been established to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
