Harley Dewitt “Bud’’ Vaughn, 94, of Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, was born June 11, 1932, in Jerome, Idaho to Harley Dewitt and Florence (Ludy) Vaughn and died Sunday, July 11, 2026, in Springfield.
He is survived by a half-sister, Thelma “Twinkie’’ Dame of Lebanon; two sons, David Alan Vaughn and his wife Shelley of Kansas City, and Michael Scott Vaughn and his wife Nancy of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at First United Methodist Church with Revs. Kaitlyn Gibson and Marsha Vincent officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There is no scheduled burial. His wishes were to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to First United Methodist Church, 300 N. Madison Ave. Donations may be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
