Herbert Ray "Herb" Decker (Obituary)

Herbert Ray “Herb’’ Decker, 80, of Lebanon, Missouri, died Monday, December 29, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born March 16, 1945, in Pulaski County, Missouri to Arthur Otto and Delphia May (Caudle) Decker.

On December 14, 1979 he was united in marriage to Shirley May (Ginnings) Decker.

Those preceding Herb in death include his parents; three brothers, Derrald Decker, George Teubner and James Teubner; five sisters, Bernice, Grace, Donna, Lois and Ada.

Herb worked at Detroit Tool Metal Products until his retirement after forty-three years.

He was a longtime member of Church of the Nazarene.

Herb is survived by his wife Shirley; children, Cheri Titus, Anthony Decker and his wife Holly, Herbert Decker, Jr., Donna, Barbara Decker, Bradley Caudle and Christopher Decker and their families; three brothers, Harold Decker and his wife Patricia, Arthur “Art” Decker and Curtis Decker and his wife Phyllis; grandchildren, Bailey DeWitt, Taylor Bowman and her husband Steven, Allie Decker-Stallings, Hannah Decker, Blake Decker and Luke Decker; several brothers and sisters-in-law; other relatives and countless friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Mark Eigsti and Pastor Brian Delcour officiating. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation was at 12:00 until service time at 1:00, also on Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Memorials have been suggested to Disabled American Veterans.
