Hooley Feathers “Jr.”, age 82, of Lebanon, MO. passed away September 20th in Springfield, MO. after a long illness. He was born in Tahlequah, OK., the only child of Hooley and Edith Feathers of Stilwell, Oklahoma.
He attended Northwestern State College in Tahlequah, where he earned his teaching degree and a Masters Degree in industrial arts. After college, he moved to Lebanon, MO. where he taught industrial arts for the Lebanon School System for 37 years. After retirement, he did furniture repair and refinishing. He was also a master craftsman at building furniture and made several beautiful pieces of furniture for his home.
He loved the outdoors, enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and fishing with many friends and relatives.
Survivors are his wife of 26 years, Linda; daughter Monica Schoenhals and husband Kevin of Edmond, OK; son Terrance Feathers and wife Jackie of Topeka, KS; stepdaughter Michelle Henson and husband Michael of Streamwood, IL; stepson Kevin Nicholson of Lebanon, MO; stepson Robert Ray of Lebanon, MO and stepdaughter Terri Givler of Springfield, MO. There are seven grandchildren he dearly loved and was proud of: Nickolas Kirby, Marissa, Alex, Benjamin and McKenna Schoenhals, Van Feathers, and Avery Henson.
Hooley will be dearly missed by family and friends. There will not be a funeral service; he will be cremated. The family is planning a celebration of life which will be announced at a later time.
