Janice May “Jan’’ Schmidt, 68, of Niangua, was born July 19, 1957, in Denver, Colo. to Warren and Marjorie (Padgett) Myers and died Sunday, March 15, 2026.
She is survived by her husband Jim of the home; four children, Shane Schmidt and his wife Tara of Grovespring, Holly Forester and her husband Conrad of Marshfield, Travis Schmidt of Marshfield, and Crystal Rowan and her partner John Ballew of Niangua; three siblings, Bob Myers of Colorado, Lew Myers of Virginia, and Esther Sparks of Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Four Rivers Church in Marshfield. Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
