Jimmie Jay Hayes, 91, of Buffalo, was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Dallas County to Cecil B. and Flossie (Vance) Hayes and died Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at his home near Buffalo.
He is survived by his wife Zena of the home; one daughter, Lola Ainley and her husband Brian; one son-in-law, Allen Cannon; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Stephens; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery.
