John C. Book, 82, of Montreal, was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Pasadena, Cali. to Chester and Eva (Overholtzer) Book and died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; three children, Chris Book (Marsha), Carol Straw (Jeff) and Jenny Taylor (Jeff); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Orrin Book, Allen Book (Mona), Anita Wingert (Don), Loine Turner (Jeff).
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church at Montreal, under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home of Camdenton. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Thursday at the church.
