Marcia Anne Scott, 73, of Daytona Beach Shores, Fla., formerly of Lebanon, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, at her home in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla., by the sea.

She was born May 30, 1949, in Maryville to Gerald and Vera M. Merrigan Pfeifer.

On Sept. 5, 1980, she was united in marriage to Tom Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Pete and Kieran Pfeifer; a sister, Phyllis Wilcox and her husband Carl; two nieces, Beth Adamson and Angela Stanley; one nephew, Bill Wilcox, and by her father and mother-in-law, Ray and Doris Scott.

Marcia was employed with and called on multiple hospitals in Missouri and Kansas. Before returning to Lebanon, she enjoyed the challenge of being the property manager of a large condo complex in the Daytona Beach Shores area. While living in Lebanon, she was employed at Titan Propane before retiring and returning to Daytona Beach Shores.

She was an active member of several churches including Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield and First United Methodist Church in Lebanon. While making her home in Florida, she was a faithful member of Westminster Prebysterian Church by the Sea in Daytona Beach, Fla. She lived her life as a strong Christian servant, never wavering from her faith.

She is survived by her husband Tom Scott; one daughter, Jennifer Stark of Lebanon; two brothers, Dan Pfeifer and his wife Ann of Maryville and Jack Pfeifer and his wife Lyn of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Kay Hamilton and her husband Ken of Springfield and Sue Massman and her husband John of Prairie Village, Kan.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Susan and Monte Doing and Kim and Tim Groom; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Nancy Scott; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services for Marcia Anne Scott will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Marcia Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation for Marcia will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Memorials in memory of Marcia have been suggested to the Lebanon Humane Society since she was an avid dog lover. She had five Yorkies through the years, and two of them are still living.
