Marilyn J. Kelm, 95, of Lebanon, Missouri died Monday, September 29, 2025, in Lebanon.

She was born July 7, 1930, in Sycamore, Illinois to Jefferson O. and Dorothy (Deverell) Nicoson.

On January 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Kelm.

Those preceding her in death include her parents, her husband, and one brother, Jack Nicoson.

She was a homemaker.

Marilyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Together, Marilyn and Kenny raised a beautiful family that has since blossomed into five generations. Their family began with 7 children: Jane Glendenning (Jack), Linda Amsberg, Ken Kelm (Sandy), Jeff Kelm (Lyddia), Ronnie Kelm (Candy), Judy Matti (Bill), and Todd Kelm (Patricia). She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and their spouses, great-grandmother to 41 great-grandchildren (11 of whom are now married), and the great-great-grandmother of 20 little ones who will carry on her love, memories, and skill in the kitchen.

A memorial service for Marilyn J. Kelm was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church. There is no scheduled burial. Her wishes were to be cremated.

There was a visitation Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Marilyn to her family. They will be establishing a fund that they will later use to honor her memory in a special way. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Missouri 65536.
