Nancy Lee Sink was born February 26, 1944 in Warrensburg, Missouri, to Robert A. and Helen Elizabeth Morgan Munkres. She passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. She was eighty-two years, six months and ten days of age.
Nancy was raised in Warrensburg and graduated from high school there.
On December 11, 1964, Nancy was united in marriage to Monte Sink, Jr. Together they shared over sixty-one years of marriage, building a life filled with family, hard work, laughter and love.
Nancy moved to Holden, Missouri before starting her life with Monte. She worked for many years with the Family Taxidermy business. She then was employed at Wal-Mart in the jewelry department.
Nancy and Monte then moved to Colorado in 1972 and lived there for several years before returning to Missouri in 1982. She was employed at Fisher’s Greenhouse for several years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Munkres; and her grandson, Weston Young.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Monte Sink, Jr.; her daughter, Winter Young and her husband Matt; her son, Monte Sink, III; four grandchildren, Madison Lungren and her husband Cody, Hanleigh Studer and her husband Will, Landon Young and Holden young; her great-grandchildren, Truitt Lundgren, Cody Jo Lundgren, Ledger Studer, Laudie Studer and one on the way; a sister, Deborah Hernandez; and other relatives and friends.
Nancy was a gifted sketch artist, painter, and could make pieces of art out of clay. She loved being outside in nature and taking care of her flower garden. She was happiest when riding a horse. The family would like to thank Johnnie Jones for giving Nancy one last ride.
Nancy loved her family and was a big part of each one of their lives. Her loss is deeply felt by her family and she will be so missed. Her legacy of family and love will continue to live on through the lives she touched.
Graveside services were held at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Young Family Cemetery in Lebanon.
