Norman Lee Price was born December 4, 1934, to John Henry Price and Mamie Lee McDaniel Price in Weches, Texas. He was the fourth of eight children and spent his early years in Texas. He eventually moved with his family to California where he graduated high school.
In 1956, Norman enlisted with the United States Army where he faithfully served in Korea until 1958. He loved his country and was proud to be an American.
On December 15, 1959, Norman married the love of his life, Dorothy Gail Beynon. Together they built a wonderful life rooted in devotion, family and shared memories. They celebrated sixty-five years of marriage before Gail passed away March 13, 2025. Their marriage was a testament to their enduring love and partnership.
In March of 1959, Norman joined the California Highway Patrol and served until 1988. He retired as a Lieutenant and was proud of his career.
The family moved to Missouri in 1993 and Norman and Gail joined Hillcrest Baptist Church. They were active in their church and Norman served as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher for several years. Norman enjoyed playing his harmonica at church and would also entertain the residents at Cedarhurst with his talent.
No services are planned at this time.
A memorial has been established to the Gideons and donations may be left at the funeral home.
