Sheila Jean Starnes, 74, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.
She was born February 15, 1952, in Lebanon, Missouri to Wilson Ray and Doris Jean Waterman Meads.
On October 7, 1972, she was united in marriage to Ronald Max Starnes.
Sheila is preceded in death by her father and stepfather, by an infant brother, Randall and by her sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Jim Davis.
She was employed with Commerce Bank, H.D. Lee, Lebanon Career Center and lastly with the Lebanon Middle School.
Sheila was a member of First United Methodist Church and most recently with First Baptist Church.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Max; two sons, Jason Starnes and his wife Traci of Lebanon, Missouri and Justin Starnes and his wife Shanna of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Avery and Gage Starnes and Payton and Tristin Starnes; her mother, Doris Jones of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Craig Meads and his wife Karen of Springfield, Missouri and Bryan Jones and his wife Sheila of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Kerry Knight of Lebanon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Sheila Starnes will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Ryan Davis and Luke Winfrey officiating. Burial will be at a later date, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will be held at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel beginning at 9:00 am., until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026.
