Teddy Joe “Ted’’ Weddle, 77, of Nixa, formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, in Nixa.

He was born Feb. 12, 1944, in Lebanon, Mo. to Ted L. and Opal M. Satterfield Weddle.

On July 24, 1964, he married Janet East in Kokomo, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Anthony Joe “Toby’’ Weddle; and one brother, Michael L. Weddle.

Ted proudly served our country in the United States Navy for a period of time until his honorable discharge. He then began a career with Esselte Pendaflex, a filing product and supply company as a machine operator until his retirement in 2005. He loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their various sports over the years.

He was a longtime member of Lebanon First Assembly.

Survivors include his wife Janet; three daughters, Melissa Gardner and her husband Mike of Nixa; Christina Weddle of Nixa, and Debbie Moore of Union.; one brother, Ronnie Weddle and his wife Joyce of Union; four sisters, Pat Brawley and her husband Ralph of Phillipsburg; Ann Helms and her husband Norman of Lebanon; Sherry Boggs and her husband Kevin of Willard; and Cammie Boggs and her husband Clifton of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Marolyn Ellerbrook of Union; five grandsons, Ryan Gardner of Biloxi, Miss.; Matthew Gardner of Nixa; Tyler Gardner of Nixa;  Jared Weddle of Nixa; and Jordan Weddle of Republic; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Teddy Joe “Ted’’ Weddle will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Kevin Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until service time also on Monday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to help Ted’s family with expenses. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
