Wanda Faye Wolken, 89, of Lebanon, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Lebanon.

She was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Wright County, Mo. to Earl and Bessie Myrtle Edwards Clark, who preceded her in death.

On Dec. 15, 1951, she was united in marriage with Franklin Edward Wolken, and they shared the next 70 years together making wonderful memories.

She graduated from Hartville High School in 1951. Following graduation, she began working at RiceStix where she met, fell in love with and married Franklin Edward Wolken on Dec. 15, 1951. They remained in the Lebanon community where Wanda was employed with Johnson Ford car dealership and later as treasurer for the Joel E. Barber School System. She retired in 1995, after 25 enjoyable years of service to the school.

Wanda professed her faith in Jesus Christ as a young girl at Elk Creek Baptist Church, and later transferred her membership to Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended as long as her health allowed.

She is survived by her husband Franklin Wolken; her children, Pamela Matlock and her husband Clifton and Rick Wolken and his wife Karen, all of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Kyle Rhoades and his wife Amber, Jessi Lockwood and her husband Adam, Heather Witt and her husband Kiel and Chad Wolken; six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Elise, Dottie Jo, Kaden, Addi and Avah;  two sisters, Shirley Sade of Springfield, Missouri and Earlene Jowers of Searcy, Ark.; other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services for Wanda Faye Wolken will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Lanny Witt officiating. Burial will be in Dotson Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Dotson Cemetery.
