Wayne Loraine Baker, 90, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Lebanon, Missouri, died Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.


He was born October 9, 1935, in Competition, Missouri to Lee and Garcie (Sumner) Baker.


On April 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Dottie Snow in Competition, Missouri.


Those preceding him in death include his parents; his wife Dottie on February 1, 2008; two sisters, Mavis Johnson and Margaret Pittenger; and one brother, James Baker.


He was baptized in 1945 and grew up in the Mt. Carney Church. After marriage, he was an active member of Unity Village Chapel in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.


Wayne graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1953. After graduating, he was united in marriage with Dottie Snow and later entered the United States Army. He was stationed in Hawaii, which he and Dottie truly loved. He enjoyed traveling and time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed.


Wayne is survived by three sisters-in-law, Shirley Brown of Lebanon, Missouri, Mary Lou Baker of the state of Texas, Margarette Griffin and her husband Stanley of Conover, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and their families, other relatives and friends.


A graveside/entombment service for Wayne Loraine Baker will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mount Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Jordan Witt officiating.
