Election day is coming April 7. This week the Record is beginning a series of profiles of candidates in the upcoming municipal election.
In this issue, we are presenting information on the candidates in the Lebanon City Council races where more than one candidate is on the ballot.
The Record contacted the candidates and asked them to respond to questions and keep the total length of their responses to 400 words or less. We also asked that candidates not use AI in the writing of their essay.
After receiving the initial copy, we made minor style and grammar changes. The City Council profiles appear on page 12 and 13.
The sample ballot is in this issue on page 7.
Information about where to vote and issues can be found on the Laclede County Clerk’s website at https://lacledecountyclerk.org. Voters can also call the Clerk’s office at 417-532-5471.
Also, the Laclede County Clerk’s office will conduct a logic and accuracy pretesting of electronic voting equipment on March 30 at 8:15 a.m. in the County Commission meeting room, second floor of the Laclede County Government Center, according to Laclede County Clerk Linda Cansler. She said representatives from the major political parties would observe the post testing.
