Posted
Crew Sharp is a 17-month-old from Lebanon who was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in January. According to the American Cancer Society, Neuroblastoma is a form of cancer that is very rare and appears mostly in infants and young children. Crew is the son of Grant and Morgan Sharp. He has two older siblings, Cora (8) and Cain (3). According to his grandma, Stacey Pearcy, Crew was first admitted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after a trip to the Mercy Lebanon emergency room. Crew was diagnosed at Barnes with neuroblastoma, and the tumor is pressing against his left kidney, small intestine, wrapped around his aorta and the cancer is in his bone marrow. His physician at Barnes says that Crew will be on a 9–12-month treatment plan with high-risk therapy such as chemo, bone marrow transplants, surgeries, radiation and immune therapy.
