Joyce Lee (Long) Oliver Zimmerman, 81, of Kansas City, was born March 6, 1945, in Jerktail, Mo. to Vencie Long and Pauline (Adamson) Long and died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour.
She is survived by two brothers, Larry Long and his wife Sue of Hartville, and Bill Long of Lamar; two daughters, Kerri (Oliver) Long and her husband Danny of Marshfield, and Rachel (Zimmerman) Jackson of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Kent Oliver of Torrance, Calif.; five bonus children, Christine (Zimmerman) Carlson, Anna (Zimmerman) Methvin and her husband Eric, David Zimmerman Jr. and his wife Diana, Mary (Zimmerman) Johnson and her husband Bill, James Zimmerman Sr. and his wife Kasey; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at Hartville Free Will Baptist Church with an additional service to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at Victory Free Will Baptist Church in Kansas City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Home Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
