LEBANON, MISSOURI –What brings you joy? Whether it’s cozying up with a new story, learning a new skill, gathering with community or something else, you can find your joy at the Lebanon-Laclede County Library.

National Library Week, April 19–25, 2026, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning. From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities.

At the Lebanon-Laclede County Library, we invite everyone to join the celebration! Whether you're a longtime patron, a new neighbor, or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Our library provides FREE programming to people of all ages, along with other free services like public Wi-Fi, computer access, and online digital collections through Libby. Books, DVDs, audiobooks and magazines are available for check out with a library card that you can acquire for FREE! Our newly updated and constantly growing digital archives makes local and family research convenient--while the online resources we provide aid in research and digital skills, ensuring that everyone has access to resources that educate, inspire, and connect.

Whatever brings you joy, the library has something for everyone. Whether you’re preparing for a career change, launching a business, raising a family, or embracing retirement, the Lebanon-Laclede County Library District is here to support your journey. Libraries serve as hubs for learning, creativity, and connection, helping people of all ages explore new ideas and opportunities.

Join us for special National Library Week events: • Storytime – Enjoy songs, stories and crafts for kids ages 2-4 on 4/22 & 4/23 at 10am. • Library Patron Appreciation – We appreciate our patrons! Take home some free stuff on 4/22 from 9am-1pm. • Friends of the Library $3 Bag Sale– Fill a provided bag with books for just $3 on Saturday, April 25 from 10am-3pm! Library programming is made possible thanks to our FRIENDS! This National Library Week, take time to rediscover the library and see how it brings you joy!
