Lebanon High School students were encouraged to be “all in” by the keynote speaker at a Veterans Day ceremony held at the school Tuesday.

Retired Army National Guard Captain Erika Haley shared with students what she had learned from her experiences in the military. Haley has served in Iraq and Kosova and served in the Army Medical Services Corps before retiring in 2020. She is currently a math teacher at Lebanon High School.

She encouraged students to be “all in” for whatever path they decide to take.

“Being all in It means showing up when it's hard,” she said. “It means doing the right thing when no one's watching. It means believing in yourself even when others doubt you. Now I'll be honest. The military isn't easy. It requires sacrifice not just from you, but from your family.”
