ROSEMARY KNAPP

Rosemary Knapp, 96, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon.

She was born June 21, 1926, in Conway, Mo. to Samuel and Millie Jane Downing Clark.

On Dec. 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to Raymond H. Knapp, and to this union six daughters and two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond in 1962; two daughters, Linda Atkinson and Anna Cotrel; a son, Johnny Knapp; a granddaughter; a grandson; five brothers and six sisters.

Rosemary lived her entire life in Laclede County, near Lebanon. In her younger years, she worked at Vernon’s Market and Uniforms where she sewed name tags and hemmed uniforms. After she and Raymond were married, Rosemary was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She also worked in the cleaning department at El Rancho Motel and later at Bennett Spring. She enjoyed gardening and fishing at the river, and liked to cook for her family and friends. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed having them

She is survived by four daughters, Rose Knapp of Lebanon; Mary Jane Matthews and her husband Ben of Texas; Louise Ellsworth of Nixa; Barbara Harrison of Eureka; one son, Roger Knapp of Union; as well as 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rosemary Knapp are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
