Brenda K. Henson, 63, of Lebanon, died Saturday evening, Jan. 18, 2020, at Webco Manor in Marshfield due to complications from Alzheimer’s.
She was born Jan. 1, 1957, in Lebanon, Mo. to Howard “Doc’’ and Hazel O’Quinn Rhoads.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kyle Henson, and a brother, David Rhoads.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from high school. Except for fifteen years that she lived in Joplin, she lived most of her life in Lebanon. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she worked for Wonder Bread Company in Joplin and became the store manager. She also worked as a seamstress for the H.D. Lee Company for a time.
Brenda professed her faith in Christ early in her life in Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon and was active in various churches throughout the years. That included the Nazarene Church and the Christ Church in Oronogo,  Mo.
She is survived by Gary Henson of Lebanon; two sons, Shane Ellis of Joplin, and Reggie Ellis of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Joshua and Chole; a brother, Bruce Rhoads of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Brenda Kay Henson will be 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Burial will be at a later date in Dotson Cemetery near Lebanon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Memorial contributions to Dotson Cemetery may be made through the funeral home.
