Debra Kaye (Jones) Eden

Posted

Debra Kaye (Jones) Eden (Debbi) was born March 6th, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri to parents, James Darrell and Patricia L. (McGinty) Jones. She departed this life in her home near Fair Grove, Missouri on Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at 1:30 am. She was sixty-eight years, two months, and eighteen days.

When Debbi was three years old, she and her family moved to Grovespring, Missouri, where they purchased a farm where all her happy childhood memories were created. She excelled in her studies and enjoyed reading and writing and learning–things she passed down to most of her children. When she met Russell Eden of Hartville, Missouri, she left school behind to marry on September 29th, 1972. They settled in Seymour, Missouri and spent their early years of marriage there, before moving to Battlefield and then to Springfield. Debbi never liked living in a town. As a country girl, she loved wide open spaces where the woods grew, the crickets chirped, and wildflowers sprouted. In October of 1996, they left the city and settled in Fair Grove, Missouri where she lived out the rest of her life in her slice of paradise, this side of Heaven.

Her faith was an important part of who she was. She loved Jesus and, after asking him into her heart as a young child, she lived her life to please Him. Her Bible was a testament to her faith–she took time in the mornings to read it and had many passages underlined and memorized and lived by those teachings. Throughout her life, she could be found singing and playing piano at church for specials and Sunday sings, which were a blessing to all who had the privilege of hearing.

Debbi will be remembered as a loving wife, dedicated worker, happy homemaker, family historian, talented seamstress, lover of Jesus, avid pianist, and a woman with too much love in her heart for this universe, possessing a smile that made the world around her brighter, and a laugh that filled a room.

She is preceded in death by her brother Kevin Darrell Jones and her father James Darrell Jones.

Debbi is survived by Russell Eden, her loving husband of fifty-one years and ten months, her mother, Patricia Lucille Jones (McGinty) of Marshfield, Missouri; two sisters, Pamela Kirk and her husband Gregory, of Ellsinore, Missouri, Shyre McCune and her husband, Kenneth, of Holt Summit Missouri; two brothers, James Darrell Jones Jr. of Hartville, Missouri, and Dr. Timothy Paul Jones and his wife Rayann, of Louisville, Kentucky; seven children, Trisha Hill, of Marshfield, Missouri, Tabitha Sikora and her husband James, of Peculiar, Missouri, Tiana Eden, of Springfield, Missouri, Terra Lenox and her husband Travis, of Springfield, Missouri, Travis Eden and his husband Nolan, of Orlando, Florida, Telisa Rose, of the home, and Tanna Eden, of Tennessee; twelve grandchildren, Bryndon Hill, and his fiancé Ashlie, Chevy Hill and her fiancé Josh, Haydon Hill, Avery Hill, Evely Hill, Davny Hill, David Harrell, Daniel Jarrell, Jayden Sikora, Jillian Sikora, Kyle Lenox, and Rennek Boyce; one future great-grandchild, Kynzlee Grace; two sons in love, Shannon Hill and Kenner Boyce, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family that were very dear to her.
