Kenneth Wayne “Kenny’’ Wood, 77, of Lebanon, was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Tuscumbia, Mo. to Wayne and Fern Pitts Wood and died Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Osage Beach.
He is survived by his wife Dora; two children, Sarah Ellingson and her husband Rodney and Timothy Wood, all of Lebanon; four grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Linda Flaugher and her husband Roger and Loretta Marks and her husband Michael, all of Eldon.
A graveside committal service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Army, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. There was no scheduled visitation. Memorials have been suggested to Mid-Missouri Fisher House (a facility that provides free temporary lodging for veterans families receiving hospital care. It is located near the Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia). Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, 1001 N. Lynn or P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
