Former Missouri House of Representatives member and Laclede County Clerk, Elizabeth (Beth) Long died Monday in Lebanon. She was 76.
She served as Laclede County Clerk from 1983-1990 and was the first woman elected to the position in the county.
Long served multiple terms in the House of Representatives and was elected in a special election held on Feb. 6, 1990, to fill the position of the late Paul “Pete’’ Page who died while serving in the House in November 1989.
