Updates on Bennett Spring projects presented at public meeting

Bennett Spring State Park staff presented updates on projects, stewardship efforts, and answered audience questions at a public meeting Friday night. Park staff, Laclede County Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst, state officials and members of the public were present. Park manager Gabe DuMond spoke on park projects that have been completed since the last public meeting, which included cabin repairs and the connection of the park to the county water supply. The wells which previously supplied the park have been phased out and will be decommissioned. For more on this story, see Wednesday's LCR.
