Police, local business warn of counterfeit bills

Posted
Lazy Lee’s One Stop #4 is warning community members of counterfeit bills that may be in circulation after an incident at their business last Friday. Store manager Bonnie Saltzman spoke with the record on the counterfeit $100 bill they received. “It was worn and tattered,” Saltzman said, though not extremely, she noted. According to Saltzman, the clerk had reviewed all indicators of counterfeiting except for the security, which they were not aware of. For more on this story, see Saturday's LCR.
