Laclede County voters will face choices for three county offices in the Aug. 6 Republican primary election.
Matt Frederick and Gregory Mattes are vying to replace Sheriff David Millsap. Incumbent Assessor Julie Rayl-Gilstrap is facing a challenge from Brett Burroughs. Four candidates are challenging the current Eastern District Commissioner, David Layman in his bid for re-election. They are Adam Fries, David Miller, Laina Starnes and Erik Lindsey.
No Candidates have filed for the Democratic primary, making the winners of the Republican primary likely to face no challengers on the November election ballot.
