Laclede County Public Administrator Karen Guinn seeks re-election against challenger Zane McCaslin.
As there are no Democrat candidates for the office, the election will be decided in the Aug. 4 Republican primary.
Each candidate was given the same set of questions about their bid for the position. The following are Guinn's answers.

qualifications?
I have an excellent, flawless work record that spans 40 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science double major in Psychology/Criminal Justice from Drury University.
I was an investigator for the State of Missouri Children’s Division.
I worked for local law enforcement as a dispatcher and was then promoted to Chief Communications Officer resigning with a letter of recommendation.
I have nearly 10 years mental health experience as a case-manager covering three separate counties working with the same population I now care for.
