L-Life begins workforce effort

Posted
L-Life Food Pantry is starting a new initiative called the Workforce Program.  Starting Aug.12, the food pantry will open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. to help serve those who work in factories or other jobs that keep them from making it in during regular business hours. According to a press release from L-Life, planning began after Development Director, Angela Fries, learned that all of the local food pantries close by 4 p.m. but most factory shifts do not end until 4:30 or later, leaving the working-class community with only Saturdays to go to the Free Store Ministry.  For more on this story, see Saturday's LCR.
