Laclede County voters approve marijuana tax, elect school board members in Tuesday election

Laclede County voter approved city and county sales taxes on marijuana and elected school board members in Tuesday’s election. The numbers were unofficial as of Friday morning. Official numbers were expected by noon Friday after all military ballots were counted, according to the Laclede County Clerk’s Office. A Laclede County sales tax of 3 percent on marijuana was approved with 73 percent of voters in favor of the measure. Unofficial numbers from the Laclede County Clerk’s Office showed 1,968 voted for the tax and 719 voted against it. For more on this story see the LCR.
