On Monday night, the Lebanon High School girls’ basketball team had their Senior Night spoiled by the Kickapoo Chiefs, losing 66-51.
Lebanon (16-8 overall, 7-2 Ozark Conference) led 11-8 at the end of the first quarter, but turnovers and foul trouble were the demises of the team. The Lady ‘Jackets finished the game with 19 turnovers and didn’t make a single three-pointer for the second-straight game.
Going into halftime, Kickapoo (20-6 overall, 9-1 Ozark Conference) led 30-25 and outscored LHS 19-10 in the fourth quarter to ice the game as senior Heaven Shockley fouled out late in the third quarter.
“Turnovers are never a good recipe,” head coach Jacky Payne said after the loss.
