Competition resident Janet Perry will publish her debut novel, “Coldiron”, on Aug. 21 through The Wild Rose Press. Perry will be at the Lebanon Laclede County Library to sign copies of her work on its release date at 6 p.m. The novel delves into Civil War history and has been twenty years in the making. “I researched and read everything I could, because I always wanted to write a book,” Perry said. “Coldiron”, according to its YouTube trailer, follows food workers in 1984 that discover a diary in an abandoned asylum that leads the pair on a treasure hunt for gold coins.
