Cody Carpenter was a little surprised and angered by an additional $50 charge on the itemized towing bill from Steve Steinmark of Steve’s Towing.
The $50 charge notated on the bill was for “name calling.”
The incident began early Sunday morning.
Carpenter said he called his friend Joe Anderson for a ride home from Becky’s Bar & Grill as his designated driver. Anderson came to help his friend and drove Carpenter home in Carpenter’s vehicle.
Anderson left his own car near a sign in a pot-holed area of the parking lot, thinking no one would want to park there.
However, since it was too close to the scales at Jones Truck Plaza, the Lebanon Police Department called the next tow service in the rotation, which was Steve’s Towing.
“I guess it was in the way, so I apologize for that,” Anderson said.
