Pamela Denise Kasiske, age seventy-five, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024, in her home in Lebanon. She was born to Paul Nelson Akey and Leoral Faye Akey on February 3, 1948, in Lebanon.

Pam spent her early years close to the Lebanon area and always had fond memories to share of spending time with her Grandma Massie on the farm. The family lived in Missouri, Oklahoma and Colorado before moving to Texas where she graduated from Hurst High School. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas and a Master’s degree in Library Science. It was at the University of Texas she met the love of her life and best friend, Stanley Ray Kasiske. They were married June 5, 1970, and to this union, two children were born, Shelly and Stuart.

Throughout her life, Pam was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, embodying the roles of a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.

In her professional life, Pam had a successful career as the Executive Assistant at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri. Her delightful personality and ability to manage a variety of situations gained her much deserved respect and a host of life-long friends.

She was also a member of the Sisters of P.E.O. Chapter IQ during her time living around the Independence, Missouri area.

After she and Stan retired from their careers in the Kansas City area, they moved to Lebanon and Pam volunteered with the Lebanon Area Alzheimer’s Association Caregivers Support Group. Her sweet and patient personality was a good fit to help those families dealing with Alzheimer’s.

Pam is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Stan; her daughter, Shelly and her husband James of Raymore; her son Stuart and his wife Darla of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Alexander Kasiske, Collin Cooke and Samantha “Sammi” Cooke; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She had a great sense of humor and was a good friend to many. She was a good listener and could give sound advice when needed. She inspired others with her integrity, held strong to her faith and values, and handled any challenge with dignity and grace.

Pam enjoyed gardening, genealogy, reading, and the arts. She enjoyed photography and taking pictures of nature, as well as her wonderful grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren so very much and was so proud of them and their accomplishments.

She and Stan were active in the local woodcarvers group, making many beautiful carvings as well as many Christmas ornaments for not only themselves, but family and friends. Pam would paint on some of the carvings she and Stan made. She was very talented and entered several carvings in various events winning several ribbons.

Pam was a member of Hayes Street Church of Christ and loved the Lord her God with all her heart. It is without a doubt she is fully healed and is in Heaven, praising God.

Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
