Shelby Jean (Mills) Haring “AKA Polly,’’ 84, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022.
She was born June 27, 1937, in Marion, N.C. to Avery and Pearl (King) Mills.
On April 20, 1957, she married David Haring, and to this union three children were born, Deborah, Robert and Carl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Deborah; three grandsons and one granddaughter; two sisters, Juanita McKinney and Etrulia McCracken; three brothers, Donald, James and Herman Mills, all of North Carolina.
Shelby Haring was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed attending church and placed her faith in Christ many years ago. She also enjoyed fishing, playing games with her family, reading, flowers, puzzles and her pets. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband David and sons Robert and Carl, all of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Mills and his wife Barbara of Marion, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Haring of Phillipsburg and Don Haring and his wife Gayle of Albany, Ore.; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
