Two people were killed in a three-vehicle wreck at 7:01 a.m. Thursday on Missouri 5 near Kingsbrook Road, a mile north of Lebanon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred when the 41-year-old male driver of a southbound 2022 Kia Forte from Springfield traveled across the center of the roadway and sideswiped a northbound 2019 Ford F150 driven by a 69-year-old male from Stoutland, then struck a northbound 2018 Toyota Tacoma head on driven by a 31-year-old female from Lebanon.
The driver of the Kia Forte was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:25 a.m. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Lebanon, where she was pronounced dead at 8:12 a.m.
All were reportedly wearing seat belts.
