Charles Newton Long, 82, of Bolivar, was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Willow Springs to Paul Vernon Long and Willa Jean Gann Long, and died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, in Parkview Care Facility in Bolivar. He is survived by his wife Kay Long; his daughter, Sharon Marie Muir and her husband Rob of Kanas City; his son, Paul William Long and his wife Brenda of Bolivar; sister, Linda Sue Gothard off Bolivar; brother, Tim Long of Hollister; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
