City Council discusses ATV ordinance

Posted
The Lebanon City Council gave preliminary approval Monday to an ordinance that will allow additional types of vehicles on city streets. The Council gave first reading approval to the law that permits golf carts, all terrain vehicles and utility vehicles on city streets. The ordinance will need to be approved once more at a future council meeting to take effect. According to Lebanon Police Chief Jerry Harrison, Missouri statutes allow cities to enact an ordinance allowing the operation of golf carts, ATVs, and UTVs on city streets.
