Earnest R. Shields, 82, of Conway, was born Dec. 13, 1940, to Walter and Dorothy (Larimore) Shields and died Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, in his home. He is survived by his wife Dixie “Dee’’ Shields; his children, Steve Shields (Cherrie) of Conway, Cindy Wilson of Amoret; John Shields (Jerri) of Lebanon, and Rebecca Shields of Dogpatch, Ark.; his brother, Don Shields (Barbara) of Conway; sisters, Nellie Atkinson of Phillipsburg, and Ruth Herst (Gary) of Stoutland; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral, Inc. of Marshfield with burial following in Alexander Vincent Cemetery at Conway. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday in the funeral home.
