Retired Police Chief and former Police Officer, Gary Don Brankel, 55, of Dixon, formerly of St. Robert, died Friday at his home in Dixon.
He is survived by his former wife, Gwen Stevens of Dixon; his father, Gary Lee Brankel of Guymon, Okla.; six children, Terri Holt, Justin Horton, Teirse Brankel (Devan), Tyler Brankel, Taylor Brankel, Mackenzie Brankel; one grandson, Khourlen Cook; two nephews, Sean Swanda and Dylan Tracy; one niece, Tiffany Tracy; many aunts, uncles, cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, in Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Burial with Full Military Honors followed at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2024, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Gary Brankel and may be left at the funeral home.
