George Edwin “Ed’’ Young, 77, of Niangua, was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Seymour to George W. and Maude Victoria (Carpenter) Young and died Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, in Marshfield Care Center. He is survived by his wife Vida Lee (Ellison) Young; seven children, Barbara Eagleson of Marshfield, Stacey and Matt Strouse of Niangua, David and Dana Young of Niangua, Nancy Shelton of Marshfield, Crystal Young of Niangua, Charlie Young of Marshfield, Kim Young of Springfield; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tony Deckard of Marshfield, Carl and Twania Deckard of Springfield, and David Deckard of Ozark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. in Marshfield. Visitation will be before services from 1-2 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield.
